Punctuality
If you’re late for an interview your chances of getting the job are slim! And when you’re at work, try to always arrive at least 10 minutes early for everything. Give yourself plenty of travel time to meetings, pre-plan your journey, particularly if it’s a first time visit.
Enthusiasm
Employers want their employees to want to work there. Listen to instructions, training and feedback and approach your work with a positive attitude. Be willing to learn and always show respect for your colleagues and managers.
Key safety information
Wear your safety equipment: always wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We will let you what safety equipment you will need. We can provide common safety equipment to anyone working a current assignment. When you’re at your work placement make sure that you understand the requirement for where and when PPE is to be worn
In case of injury: If you are ever injured while working through Premier Placement Services, even in a minor way, report the situation to your supervisor and us immediately to determine the level of medical attention needed. Remember, it is your responsibility to report an injury to us – don’t rely on someone else to do it for you.
If you’re lifting – do it properly: Remember to lift with your legs and not your back! Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If you’re lifting something that weighs more than 50lbs, there should be more than one person lifting it. If you can’t lift something, make sure you tell your supervisor immediately.
