THERE’S a lot more to recruitment than just putting a person in a job – it’s about putting the right person in the right job.

It’s on this ethos that Jonathan Harper founded Premier Placement Services 19 years ago, growing the Newcastle-based recruitment business from scratch when he was just 22-years-old.

Now with a 10-strong team, a raft of regular clients and a state-of-the-art office close to the heart of the town, the business is a far cry from those early days when Jonathan worked round the clock to establish Premier Placement Services as the area’s go-to agency for industrial and professional driving staff.

“It was hard work,” he says, “but I knew I could do it, and with the help of two financial backers, I didn’t have to approach the bank and I never have.”
