Warehouse Manager – Newcastle under Lyme
Salary up to 27k
Monday-Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm
Experienced Manager or Team Leader with a hands on approach, who is commercially aware, has good business acumen, is confident to motivate a team, manage under pressure, be proactive and can make decisions with the interests of the Company at the forefront.
Key Roles and objectives
Work Closely and effectively with the sales office, production team and warehouse staff to ensure all orders are serviced and despatched on a timely basis.
Maintain warehouse operations within company processes and procedures including Health and Safety.
Lead and develop a small warehouse team, including disciplinary, holidays, absence management and addressing any performance issues.
Maximise accuracy, productivity, and space utilisation.
Manage stock control systems and accuracy culminating in stock takes as required.
Ensure daily/weekly workload planning practices are accomplished (i.e., staffing, equipment, space)
Management of all warehouse areas from inbound, stock/inventory, picking, packing to despatch.
Source, order, and maintain suitable stock requirements for packaging and fittings.
Overseeing all warehouse day to day tasks and responsibilities
Proactively look for ways to improve our processes across Stock, Picking, Packing, Quality, Returns, Despatch, and Health and Safety.
Minimum of Three year’s experience in a Warehouse Supervisor or Manager role
Good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems.
Mainframe system experience; MS Office package/Sage 50.
Good leadership and organisational skills.
Clear confident communication skills with all levels in the business.
Clear confident communication skills with external suppliers and customers.
Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines.
Energetic approach to achieving the requirements of the role whilst impacting positively on profitability and growth of the business.
Work as part of the Management team to achieve objectives and improve operations by recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities.
Whilst the role will involve a practical hands-on approach and leading from the front by supporting your team to ensure objectives are achieved the ability to organise, prioritise and delegate when required is also essential.
Can anticipate, prevent, and resolve problems with a can do/will do attitude.
A Forklift License is preferential though training will be given, if necessary.
