HR Administrator – Stoke on Trent

Salary £19,500

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Working in a small Human Resource team, the Administrator will play an important role in the department by completing the administration duties in a small but busy and professional HR team. You will maintain the documents and correspondence for a variety of tasks including recruitment, training, performance management, staff records, absence, headcount, organising travel, staff events and ad hoc office duties.

This is a busy department where no two days are the same in this role, it is interesting and varied. You will be well supported by a knowledgeable and experienced team.

Human Resources – Main Accountabilities

  • Maintenance of the HR database and HR personnel records.
  • Process and produce documentation for starters, changes and leavers.
  • Completion of agency timesheets for recruitment agencies, each week.
  • Reference requests (Internal and External)
  • To administer exit interviews for employee leavers.
  • Updating spreadsheets and trackers as appropriate.
  • Update absence on Tensor (Holidays, Flexi Days, Sickness Absence etc.)
  • Administer arrangements for employees who are retiring.
  • Keeping notice boards up to date.
  • To administer department post.
  • Scanning of department documentation as appropriate.

Ad Hoc Accountabilities

  • To assist with the co-ordination of arrangements for the Company’s internal events
  • To assist with the administration and co-ordination of recruitment activities.
  • To assist with the administration and co-ordination of training & development activities.
  • Record ‘speculative’ job applications.
  • To assist with the co-ordination of arrangements for the review of occupational health reports with employees and management as appropriate following appointments with the Company’s occupational health providers for the purposes of sickness absence, management and/or medical
  • referrals, H&S requirements.
  • To take minutes at meetings as appropriate.

Pension duties

  • Processing pension scheme member administration, working closely with the external pension’s consultant
  • Maintain pension scheme records and processing members queries and issues
  • Liaise with pensions consultant and arrange meetings.

Company car duties

  • Liaise with finance providers and Company car drivers.
