Monday to Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm Overtime Available

£13.00- £16.50 per hour dependant on experience 

6 month contract with view to perm contract for the right person

This role involves:

• Following specific measurements to cut wire.
• Cutting plastic sleeves and slips sleeves over wire ends to insulate connections.
• Using hand or machine crimping devices to crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends.
• Using hand tools to attach wire to terminal points, according to layouts.
• You will be connecting wires to relays, circuit breakers, plugs and switches.
• Carrying out functional tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights and other electrical testing instruments.
• Working with 240v and 415v experience, also working with Cat5 cable would be an advantage.
• Support the ISO standards.
• You could be working at height and outside.
• Routes, wires, assembles and installs electrical and electronic components in a mobile truck system and fixed or gantry rail systems, such as main junction and terminal boxes, main control switch panels and CCTV cameras, according to specifications, using jig boards, hand tools/power tools, (drills, etc.) and other equipment: Reads drawings and on occasions, schematics to specifications, to determine established assembly methods.

The ideal candidate will have relevant hands-on experience in a rapidly changing environment, attention to detail and experience of working with 240v and 415v also working with Cat5 will be an advantage.
