FAQs

Q
How can we be sure that Premier Placement Services operates to required standards?

Clients can rest assured that Premier Placement Services adheres to the latest in legislation in all areas of the business, ensuring full compliance at all times.

  • Recruitment & Employment Confederation: We are a long-standing corporate member of REC which sets the highest standards in the UK’s recruitment industry and we are frequently audited in order to maintain our membership.
  • Freight Transport Association: As a member of the FTA, we ensure that we run a safe, efficient and compliant operation. Our driving division has installed the latest technology to monitor and maintain drivers’ hours for compliance within the Road Transport Working Time Directive.
  • Gang Masters Licence: We have held a non-restrictive Gang Masters Licence since 2006 enabling the business to supply staff within the highly-regulated food processing and packaging sector. We are periodically audited to maintain this licence.
  • JAUPT: We are a JAUPT-approved Driver CPC training centre with courses held in our own state-of-the-art purpose built recruitment and training centre which includes air conditioning, wifi and an 80” LCD screen. We also offer Food Hygiene and Manual Handling courses with further courses available.

Q
How do I apply for holiday pay?

If and when you want to take a holiday you should pop into the office to complete a holiday form or you can download one from the website. Once you’ve handed your holiday form in we will check it for you.

Q
What is my entitlement of paid holidays?

Our holiday year runs from 1 January of each year and ends on 31 December. No holidays can be carried forward into the next year and holidays not taken will be lost. It is your responsibility to ensure your accrued holidays are taken. Please note: holiday pay is only applied when holidays are taken. You cannot claim holiday pay whilst working on any assignment.

Your entitlement is 28 days for a complete holiday year, (5.6 weeks) including Bank Holidays. If you start to work for us part way through a holiday year, your entitlement will be accrued on a pro rata basis. Therefore, holiday pay for anyone starting to work part way through a year is calculated at approximately 0.538 days per week, or 2.33 days per calendar month.
