5 Healthy Sandwiches to Power You Through the Workweek
Celebrating National Sandwich Week with smart, satisfying lunch ideas
Whether you’re working shifts, out on deliveries, or holding down the office, lunch should be more than a grab-and-go afterthought. In honour of National Sandwich Week, we’re serving up five healthy sandwich ideas one for each day to keep you feeling full, focused, and fuelled for whatever work throws your way.
And to make them even better? We’re basing them all on Jason’s High Protein Loaf it’s soft, satisfying, and packed with more protein than your average bread. A solid choice when you want lunch that works as hard as you do.
Monday: Chicken, Avocado & Spinach
Start the week strong with grilled chicken breast, smashed avocado, and fresh baby spinach. Add a squeeze of lemon and a pinch of salt and pepper.
Why it works: Packed with lean protein, heart-healthy fats, and leafy greens to help you feel fuller for longer.
Tuesday: Roasted Veg & Hummus
Load up on colour with roasted red peppers, courgette, and aubergine layered over a generous spread of hummus.
Why it works: A great plant-based option full of fibre, flavour and vitamins and perfect for prepping the night before.
Wednesday: Tuna, Greek Yoghurt & Cucumber
Swap mayo for Greek yoghurt and mix with tuna, lemon juice, chopped herbs, and sliced cucumber for a lighter, fresher take.
Why it works: High in protein and lower in fat, with a refreshing crunch that keeps midweek energy dips at bay.
Thursday: Egg, Watercress & Wholegrain Mustard
A classic combo with a kick. Boiled eggs, a touch of mustard, and a handful of peppery watercress on high protein bread make this simple but satisfying.
Why it works: Eggs are rich in nutrients and protein, and watercress adds a dose of iron and vitamin C.
Friday: Turkey, Apple & Rocket
Lean turkey slices, thinly sliced apple, rocket and a light smear of cream cheese or soft goat’s cheese. Sweet, sharp and packed with flavour.
Why it works: A great mix of protein, fibre and natural sugars to end your week on a high.
Eating well at work doesn’t have to be boring or time-consuming. With a few fresh ingredients and the right bread (we recommend Jason’s High Protein Loaf, available in most supermarkets), you can make quick lunches that actually work for you.
